Description Progut® is a yeast-based feed ingredient aimed at maintaining good gut health and productivity of animals. The product is processed from whole brewery yeast (Saccaromyces cerevisiae) with a patented (EP 0946108) hydrolysis process. Progut® contains both yeast cell wall and extract part, which are rich in Mannoproteins, Betaglucans and components in the extract (nucleotides, peptides etc.). Progut® is not a waste product from yeast industry. It is the main product and only produced for animal feeding purposes. This makes it possible to optimize the process. Due to the fact, Progut® contains a high amount of soluble, bioactive particles, which research has shown to be effective to agglutinate pathogens in the intestine, support the natural immunity and modulate gut microflora. Modes of action are well documented. The product is light brown, free flowing fine powder and can be used for swine, poultry, pets, rabbits and fishes. It can be mixed with a compound feed or used in premixes or mineral feeds. The product is stable in storage and feed processing and has scientifically proven effects. Suomen Rehu has used Progut® since 1999 in many different applications with success. For ruminants, we have optimized special product called Progut® Rumen.
