Acetona Energy pellets contain sources of energy which have shown in trials to improve feed intake and direct rumen fermentation towards propionic acid that maintains a sufficient blood glucose level. The product helps to strengthen heat signs, which improves the correct timing of insemination. Stimulated microbial activity also improves feed efficiency. The product contains a guaranteed amount of vitamins. E-vitamins protect vital cells, promote udder health and reproductive functions. D-vitamins improve calcium and phosphorus utilisation and enzyme functions. A-vitamins protect mucous membranes and protects against infections. Research has shown that Progut®increases microbial protein production and hence milk production (research and trials/ruminants).

Application
Acetona Energy pellets can be fed straight, mixed with other concentrates or using an automatic feeder. Cows and heifers: Start feeding about two weeks prior to calving, dividing into at least two rations. General dosing is about 1kg/cow per day. Feed the same amount at the peak of lactation. Feeding should be continued until the first insemination. If the feed is of poor quality, appetite is lacking, or of the animal has a tendency to suffer from ketosis, double the ration after calving for about three weeks. Sheep and goats: Start feeding 14 days before expected lambing and continue until turning out to pasture or 8 weeks post lambing. General dosage is 100g/animal/day.
